# Luna vs Lingo7

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lingo7 at freemium against Luna's subscription. Lingo7 also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luna sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Lingo7 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Luna holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingo7 has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Luna ships an update weekly, Lingo7 every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
