# Step Tracker vs MoonWalk

The clearest difference is ads: MoonWalk at none against Step Tracker's shown. Step Tracker's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Tracker sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and MoonWalk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Tracker ships an update fortnightly, MoonWalk every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
