# Dopple.AI vs ReadInstead

Dopple.AI and ReadInstead are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Dopple.AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ReadInstead sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.19 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dopple.AI ships an update every 2 weeks, ReadInstead every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
