# Insight Island vs Float Note

The clearest difference is ads: Insight Island at none against Float Note's shown. Float Note's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Insight Island sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Float Note sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Insight Island ships an update fortnightly, Float Note weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
