# Wable vs Smile

The clearest difference is rating: Smile at 5.0 against Wable's 2.3. Smile also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Wable's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wable sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Smile sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wable has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wable ships an update every 2 months, Smile every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
