# Portal vs Malayalam EeeZee

The clearest difference is rating: Malayalam EeeZee at 4.5 against Portal's 4.0. Malayalam EeeZee also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks). Portal's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Malayalam EeeZee holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Portal's written reviews are positive against 50% of Malayalam EeeZee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Portal ships an update every 5 weeks, Malayalam EeeZee every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
