# Elbow vs Pipe Fitting

The clearest difference is ads: Elbow at none against Pipe Fitting's shown. Elbow also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Pipe Fitting's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elbow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Pipe Fitting sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elbow holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pipe Fitting has 116 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Elbow's written reviews are positive against 33% of Pipe Fitting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Elbow ships an update every 4 months, Pipe Fitting every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
