# 8Flight Aviator EFB vs StripScout

The clearest difference is monetization model: StripScout at free with in-app purchases against 8Flight Aviator EFB's subscription. StripScout also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). 8Flight Aviator EFB's advantage is ratings volume (82 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 8Flight Aviator EFB sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and StripScout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StripScout holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 8Flight Aviator EFB has 82 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of 8Flight Aviator EFB's written reviews are positive against 100% of StripScout's.
