# 8Flight Aviator EFB vs CloudPath

The clearest difference is monetization model: CloudPath at free against 8Flight Aviator EFB's subscription. CloudPath also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). 8Flight Aviator EFB's advantage is ratings volume (81 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 8Flight Aviator EFB sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and CloudPath sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CloudPath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 8Flight Aviator EFB has 81 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of 8Flight Aviator EFB's written reviews are positive against 100% of CloudPath's.

8Flight Aviator EFB ships an update weekly, CloudPath fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
