# 8Flight Aviator EFB vs GoTime Grid

The clearest difference is monetization model: GoTime Grid at freemium against 8Flight Aviator EFB's subscription. GoTime Grid also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). 8Flight Aviator EFB's advantage is ratings volume (81 vs 5) and chart position (#158 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 8Flight Aviator EFB sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and GoTime Grid sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

8Flight Aviator EFB holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 8Flight Aviator EFB has 81 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of 8Flight Aviator EFB's written reviews are positive against 100% of GoTime Grid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

8Flight Aviator EFB ships an update weekly, GoTime Grid every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
