# Step Year vs LeanEat

The clearest difference is update cadence: LeanEat at every 4 days against Step Year's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Year sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LeanEat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Year ships an update every 2 weeks, LeanEat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
