# Romantic Reminders vs DateMate Planner

The clearest difference is update cadence: DateMate Planner at every 2 weeks against Romantic Reminders's every 11 months. DateMate Planner also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Romantic Reminders sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and DateMate Planner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Romantic Reminders ships an update every 11 months, DateMate Planner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
