# Superwhisper vs WalkWrite

The clearest difference is rating: WalkWrite at 5.0 against Superwhisper's 4.4. WalkWrite also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). Superwhisper's advantage is ratings volume (846 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superwhisper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per month and WalkWrite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WalkWrite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superwhisper has 846 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Superwhisper ships an update every 4 days, WalkWrite every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
