# CCC Mobile Backup vs Fold

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fold at every 2 days against CCC Mobile Backup's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CCC Mobile Backup sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Fold sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CCC Mobile Backup ships an update monthly, Fold every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
