# SAIFON vs Aurora Map

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SAIFON at none against Aurora Map's 3. Aurora Map's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aurora Map sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. SAIFON asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SAIFON against 5.0 for Aurora Map. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aurora Map has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
