# Writeway vs WillStone

Writeway and WillStone both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Writeway's written reviews are positive against 75% of WillStone's. WillStone's advantage is ratings volume (210 vs 23). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writeway sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year and WillStone sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Writeway against 4.6 for WillStone. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WillStone has 210 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Writeway's written reviews are positive against 75% of WillStone's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
