# Caffesta vs POS Direct

The clearest difference is update cadence: POS Direct at every 3 weeks against Caffesta's every 3 months. Caffesta's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Caffesta ships an update every 3 months, POS Direct every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
