# Superfluent vs ChitChat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ChitChat at none against Superfluent's 12. Superfluent's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 8) and chart position (#185 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superfluent sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. ChitChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Superfluent against 5.0 for ChitChat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superfluent has 3.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Superfluent's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChitChat's.

Superfluent ships an update every 6 days, ChitChat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
