# Mapify vs Genogram Creator

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mapify at free with in-app purchases against Genogram Creator's subscription. Mapify also leads on ratings volume (178 vs 2). Genogram Creator's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mapify sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Genogram Creator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Genogram Creator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mapify has 178 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mapify ships an update fortnightly, Genogram Creator every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
