# Brainiac vs SmartSolve

The clearest difference is ads: Brainiac at none against SmartSolve's shown. Brainiac also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). SmartSolve's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 33%) and ratings volume (3.6K vs 261). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainiac sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and SmartSolve sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainiac holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartSolve has 3.6K ratings behind it against 261, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Brainiac's written reviews are positive against 66% of SmartSolve's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brainiac ships an update every 8 days, SmartSolve fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
