# TIME REC. vs FadingNotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: TIME REC. at every 4 days against FadingNotes's fortnightly. TIME REC. also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TIME REC. sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and FadingNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TIME REC. ships an update every 4 days, FadingNotes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
