# Daily Planner Diary vs Assistant

The clearest difference is ads: Assistant at none against Daily Planner Diary's shown. Assistant also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Daily Planner Diary's advantage is ratings volume (126 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Planner Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days and Assistant sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assistant holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Planner Diary has 126 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Daily Planner Diary ships an update every 5 months, Assistant every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
