# Daily Planner Diary vs Ultimate Planner App

The clearest difference is rating: Daily Planner Diary at 4.7 against Ultimate Planner App's 4.0. Daily Planner Diary also leads on ratings volume (126 vs 6). Ultimate Planner App's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Planner Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days and Ultimate Planner App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daily Planner Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Planner Diary has 126 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Daily Planner Diary's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ultimate Planner App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Planner Diary ships an update every 5 months, Ultimate Planner App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
