# Lingopic vs Wordy

Lingopic and Wordy both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of Wordy's written reviews are positive against 48% of Lingopic's. Wordy also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 329). Lingopic's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingopic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Wordy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Lingopic against 4.7 for Wordy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wordy has 2.5K ratings behind it against 329, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Lingopic's written reviews are positive against 86% of Wordy's.

Lingopic ships an update fortnightly, Wordy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
