# Branches vs Habit Tracker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Habit Tracker at every 2 days against Branches's every 3 weeks. Habit Tracker also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Branches sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Habit Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.39 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Branches ships an update every 3 weeks, Habit Tracker every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
