# TOPdesk vs ForgeShift

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TOPdesk at none against ForgeShift's 5. TOPdesk also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). ForgeShift's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForgeShift sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. TOPdesk asks for nothing beyond the download.

TOPdesk ships an update every 2 months, ForgeShift every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
