# Inpaint vs AI Video Eraser

The clearest difference is rating: AI Video Eraser at 4.3 against Inpaint's 1.0. AI Video Eraser also leads on ratings volume (195 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Inpaint's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (50% vs 29%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inpaint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AI Video Eraser sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Video Eraser holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Video Eraser has 195 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Inpaint's written reviews are positive against 29% of AI Video Eraser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Inpaint ships an update every 5 weeks, AI Video Eraser fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
