# CardGen vs Ya.Flashcards

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ya.Flashcards at every 2 days against CardGen's every 9 days. CardGen's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CardGen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ya.Flashcards sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CardGen ships an update every 9 days, Ya.Flashcards every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
