# 小八哥 vs AI Mate

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 小八哥 at 62% against AI Mate's 15%. 小八哥 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 21). AI Mate's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.3) and ratings volume (62 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Mate sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. 小八哥 asks for nothing beyond the download.

AI Mate holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Mate has 62 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of 小八哥's written reviews are positive against 15% of AI Mate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

小八哥 ships an update every 3 weeks, AI Mate every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
