# AI Assistant vs SecondBrain Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: AI Assistant at fortnightly against SecondBrain Pro's every 2 months. AI Assistant also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Assistant sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and SecondBrain Pro sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Assistant ships an update fortnightly, SecondBrain Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
