# Acidity vs SmbDAV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Acidity at 100% against SmbDAV's 50%. Acidity also leads on rating (4.2 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). SmbDAV's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Acidity holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Acidity has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Acidity's written reviews are positive against 50% of SmbDAV's.

Acidity ships an update every 4 months, SmbDAV every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
