# Timers vs Washboat

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timers at free against Washboat's freemium. Timers also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 1). Washboat's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Washboat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timers has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timers ships an update monthly, Washboat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
