# Seattle Transit vs Yakima Transit

The clearest difference is rating: Seattle Transit at 4.7 against Yakima Transit's 3.7. Seattle Transit also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (832 vs 3). Yakima Transit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seattle Transit sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Yakima Transit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Seattle Transit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Seattle Transit has 832 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Seattle Transit's written reviews are positive against 50% of Yakima Transit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Seattle Transit ships an update every 2 weeks, Yakima Transit every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
