# DocFlip vs Yellow Note

The clearest difference is update cadence: DocFlip at every 5 weeks against Yellow Note's every 4 months. Yellow Note's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DocFlip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Yellow Note sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DocFlip ships an update every 5 weeks, Yellow Note every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
