# Melody Scanner vs Piano Sheet AI

The clearest difference is rating: Piano Sheet AI at 3.0 against Melody Scanner's 1.6. Melody Scanner's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (28% vs 0%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melody Scanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Piano Sheet AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Piano Sheet AI holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Melody Scanner has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Melody Scanner's written reviews are positive against 0% of Piano Sheet AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Melody Scanner ships an update fortnightly, Piano Sheet AI every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
