# Base Strength AI vs Stretch Strong

The clearest difference is monetization model: Stretch Strong at free with in-app purchases against Base Strength AI's subscription. Stretch Strong also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 50%). Base Strength AI's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Base Strength AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Stretch Strong sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Base Strength AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 146 and 62 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Base Strength AI's written reviews are positive against 67% of Stretch Strong's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Base Strength AI ships an update every 9 days, Stretch Strong every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
