# Lexy PDF Viewer vs AI Generator

The clearest difference is monetization model: AI Generator at free with in-app purchases against Lexy PDF Viewer's subscription. AI Generator also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 197). Lexy PDF Viewer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lexy PDF Viewer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.90 per 7 days and AI Generator sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Lexy PDF Viewer against 4.6 for AI Generator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Generator has 13K ratings behind it against 197, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 68% and 69% positive.

Lexy PDF Viewer ships an update every 2 months, AI Generator every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
