# Lexy PDF Viewer vs PDF Scan & Edit

The clearest difference is rating: Lexy PDF Viewer at 4.5 against PDF Scan & Edit's 3.7. Lexy PDF Viewer also leads on ratings volume (185 vs 16) and chart position (#161 vs unranked). PDF Scan & Edit's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lexy PDF Viewer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.90 per 7 days and PDF Scan & Edit sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lexy PDF Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lexy PDF Viewer has 185 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lexy PDF Viewer ships an update every 2 months, PDF Scan & Edit weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
