# Katateeb vs Bites

The clearest difference is rating: Bites at 4.6 against Katateeb's 2.0. Bites also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Katateeb's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bites sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Katateeb asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bites holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bites has 2.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Katateeb ships an update every 6 weeks, Bites fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
