# Spellar vs Hyper Pal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hyper Pal at none against Spellar's 8. Hyper Pal also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Spellar's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spellar sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Hyper Pal asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hyper Pal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spellar has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spellar ships an update every 2 weeks, Hyper Pal every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
