# ShadowTalk vs discreed

The clearest difference is update cadence: discreed at every 10 days against ShadowTalk's every 8 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowTalk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and discreed sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShadowTalk ships an update every 8 months, discreed every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
