# ShadowTalk vs Cerberus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cerberus at every 5 days against ShadowTalk's every 8 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowTalk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Cerberus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShadowTalk ships an update every 8 months, Cerberus every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
