# talkmaker vs bika

The clearest difference is ads: bika at none against talkmaker's shown. bika also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). talkmaker's advantage is ratings volume (520 vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. talkmaker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and bika sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

bika holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: talkmaker has 520 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

talkmaker ships an update every 2 weeks, bika every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
