# ThePrimeAS vs Modul Pools

The clearest difference is update cadence: Modul Pools at every 3 days against ThePrimeAS's every 3 months. Modul Pools also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 1). ThePrimeAS's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ThePrimeAS against 5.0 for Modul Pools. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Modul Pools has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ThePrimeAS ships an update every 3 months, Modul Pools every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
