# EarpTool vs QuitVape

The clearest difference is rating: QuitVape at 4.7 against EarpTool's 2.2. QuitVape also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (728 vs 13). EarpTool's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 20) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuitVape sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. EarpTool asks for nothing beyond the download.

QuitVape holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuitVape has 728 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of EarpTool's written reviews are positive against 20% of QuitVape's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EarpTool ships an update every 3 months, QuitVape every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
