# Climbly vs AdventureLog

The clearest difference is update cadence: AdventureLog at every 4 weeks against Climbly's every 6 months. AdventureLog also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Climbly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AdventureLog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Climbly ships an update every 6 months, AdventureLog every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
