# Dodge Ridge vs NorCal

The clearest difference is rating: Dodge Ridge at 4.6 against NorCal's 2.8. Dodge Ridge also leads on ratings volume (168 vs 12). NorCal's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and chart position (#201 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dodge Ridge holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dodge Ridge has 168 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Dodge Ridge's written reviews are positive against 29% of NorCal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dodge Ridge ships an update every 5 weeks, NorCal every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
