# Whatever VPN vs Sheltery

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Whatever VPN at 50% against Sheltery's 0%. Whatever VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Sheltery's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whatever VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Sheltery sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sheltery holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 58 and 73 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Whatever VPN's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sheltery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whatever VPN ships an update every 5 days, Sheltery fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
