# Changemonitor vs Viewu

Changemonitor and Viewu both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of Viewu's written reviews are positive against 14% of Changemonitor's. Viewu also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Changemonitor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Viewu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Changemonitor holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Changemonitor's written reviews are positive against 71% of Viewu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Changemonitor ships an update every 9 days, Viewu every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
