# HiShort vs ReelBox

The clearest difference is rating: ReelBox at 5.0 against HiShort's 4.4. ReelBox also leads on ads (none vs shown). HiShort's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (895 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HiShort sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per 7 days and ReelBox sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReelBox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HiShort has 895 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HiShort ships an update every 2 weeks, ReelBox every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
